January Recap and February Goal Setting

January was… kind of a weird month in terms of goal setting and staying on track. I actually spent much of it in Ontario with Lil’ Ziggy, visiting friends and family. The last time I was there was also for about three weeks, and I couldn’t wait to get back to Alberta by the end of it. October Wrap Up and November Goals

October has been a busy month. I’m really getting used to living in Calgary, and I enjoy getting out with Lil’ Ziggy and exploring our neighbourhood and beyond. I’ve discovered some great places to take him once the weather gets cold. There certainly are things I miss about Fort McMurray, namely our church and the people in it, and the friends we left behind. It was a miserable time for…

    Monday Update and Weekly Goals

Lately in Boothopia… Last Wednesday was Canada Day, and we were worried we’d have to stay inside all day due to smoke from forest fires to the north of us. So I decided that if we couldn’t get outside to enjoy the beauty of our country, we could at least eat Canadian! First on the menu was pancakes with real maple syrup for breakfast! And I don’t mean Aunt Jemima or even store-brand “100% maple syrup”. I mean the real thing. You can taste the difference! Thankfully the smoke lightened just enough for us to feel comfortable taking Ziggy down…
